Bill Lofquist is Professor of Sociology at SUNY Geneseo, a member of the Geneseo Village Board and a leader of Please Don’t Destroy Geneseo. Since October of 2005 he has written the Preserving Small Towns column. Until March of 2007 it appeared weekly in the Lake and Valley Clarion. Archives of the print columns are available here.
